Fairwood offers residential living options for seniors. This beautiful campus includes 141 Independent Apartment Homes; 24 Hillside Duplexes; 39 Assisted Living Apartments and a Secured Memory Care Neighborhood with 16 apartment homes.

History

Fairwood Village Retirement opened its doors in May of 1988. Family owned and operated for over 23 years, Fairwood has a strong presence in Eastern Washington supporting senior care, as well as outreach to organizations in the greater Spokane area. Since 1988, the community has grown to meet retirement industry standards of excellence. Fairwood Village is recognizing high quality care, professional integrity and performance standards. CARING and COMMITMENT is upmost in the minds of our staff in all areas of service.

Village Setting

Set amongst beautiful pines and green meadows, Fairwood Village offers apartment homes and duplexes throughout 20 acres. Located adjacent to the newly developed Wandermere neighborhood, Fairwood Village provides easy access and convenience to many healthcare, shopping, and general businesses. Residents enjoy meadows with putting greens, walking paths, sitting benches, a gazebo, an indoor heated pool and spa; all maintained by professional groundskeepers and maintenance staff. Campus living includes 24/7 security, the comfort seniors expect, affording the freedom to enjoy daily life.

Fairwood Village offers unique characteristics which support and complete residential living for our seniors. Hallways include attractive appointed comfort lounges, elevators and skywalks connecting residential buildings to the Main Commons area. Skywalks offer a wonderful convenience during inclement weather or another option for indoor walking and fitness. Garages enter into heated hallways or the home itself making life that much easier.

Resident Life

Fairwood is home to over 250 residents, age 55 and over, who desire independence, active lifestyles, care with dignity, services with genuine heartfelt interest, and commitment. Residents participate in resident council, activity planning, and have an open door to our campus administration. Many residents are actively involved in the community neighborhoods beyond Fairwood Village. Some are semi and fully employed while others are retired. This brings a diversity of enriched resident histories, stories, interests, and abilities to the community. Family is important to our residents and are welcomed to join in the daily life of each resident. Pets are welcome at Fairwood if they are community friendly and have been vaccinated.
